Activity Ideas
IMPORTANT NOTE: Most of these printable activities will be FREE for you to download, but only during Celebrate Spring Day! If you could leave a review behind afterwards, that would be amazing too! THANK YOU!! 🥰❤️
#1. Spring Tree Q-Tip Painting Project
Download this printable and pick one of the two tree templates to print! Make sure to print out on cardstock if planning to paint. Use Q-tips and paint to add leaves and blossoms to create a blooming spring tree!
#2. Make a Crepe Paper Flower
Download and print out this template on cardstock! Use glue and crumpled pieces of crepe paper to create a 3D spring project! Your child could cut it out afterwards and set it somewhere for a cute spring decoration.
#3. Go On a Spring Nature Walk!
If the weather allows, go for a spring scavenger hunt outside!
#4. Read & Hang Up Vocabulary Cards
Did you grab the Spring School bundle? You can read the vocabulary words for today and color in the word (optional). Hang up the vocabulary words on the wall or display board. The vocabulary words for today are: Blossom, Spring, & Birdsong.
Books
(Note: Everyone has different book standards! I highly suggest skimming through any books before reading them to your kids, just to make sure it aligns with your family values first) 🩷
Today we’ll be reading, “And Then It’s Spring” by Julie Fogliano, “When Spring Comes” by Kevin Henkes, and “It’s Spring” by Linda Glaser.
However, if you were unable to grab these books from the library or store, here are the read aloud options on YouTube!
PS: If you have an older child, I recommend having them read 1-2 chapters from, “Charlotte’s Web” today!
